Melissa J. Nogacek, DMD

Dr. Melissa Nogacek has been a general dentist for over 30 years. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and completed her general practice residency at the VA Hospital in Washington, D.C. In 1991 she came to CT with her husband, who was a Navy dentist at the time assigned to the Groton Submarine Base. Dr. Nogacek joined Waterford Dental Health in 1992.

Dr Nogacek is certified in sedation dentistry through the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation (DOCS). She treats anxious and fearful patients with extremely safe sedation techniques. Additionally, she routinely takes updated courses in sedation dentistry to maintain her certification and attends numerous continuing education courses to stay on the leading edge of the dental profession. She is a member of the New London County Dental Association, CT State Dental Association, American Dental Association and DOCS.

Dr. Nogacek and her husband, who is also a dentist in the practice, reside in Ledyard with their great dane and two cats. She enjoys singing, horseback riding and spending time with her family, which includes their two daughters.
